I am a General Practitioner situated in the small town of Ottendorf-Okrilla north of Dresden. The heartbeat of the surgery are my assistants Ina Wesner and Sandra Doering. Having lived in England for 6 years I am more than happy to hold my consultation-hours in English.
I act according to my christian faith which means respecting the dignity of every person. Taking a thorough history, a profound diagnosis and a targeted therapy are very important to me. It is vital to recognize risk factors in time and to prevent diseases. I encourage my patients to remain active within their capabilities, and I myself enjoy taking part at the Moritzburg triathlon.
I have successfully completed training in "Geriatric Medicine" and in "Palliative Care". The former means the care of the elderly. Among others I look after many residents in retirement-homes, and I am anxious to improve their quality of life. The latter training is helpful when attending to dying patients.
Since 1.3.2020, I am deputy senior doctor of the geriatric department at the Malteser hospital in Kamenz. The clinic management and I are convinced, that the professional exchange between stationary and out-patient care is beneficial for everybody.
As I am particularly interested in sports medicine, I am a member of the Sächsischen Sportärzteverband and medical consultant of the swimming club SC Poseidon, Radebeul.
